Photo and Art Consulting

As a freelancer, I curate exhibitions and organize cultural events such as baroque, classical or jazz concerts and readings. I am based in Hamburg, in the north of Germany. I enjoy curating exhibitions, especially ones with the emphasis on photography and also with young artists. I also take care of a private collection of American Photography, which can be lent out for exhibitions with special themes like architectures, landscapes or portraits.

I studied German Literature and the History of Art at the University of Hamburg. In addition, I am trained as a Dance Teacher and taught Classical Ballet, Jazz and Modern Dance for ten years.

I have been managing director of a cultural foundation for more than ten years and managed a cultural centre based in a wonderful old baroque building – called Drostei – not far from the city of Hamburg. There, I curate over 70 exhibitions with artists such as Franz Erhard Walther, Tacita Dean, Miriam Vlaming, Hajnal Nemeth, Günter Grass and Armin Mueller-Stahl as well as photographers, including Jochen Blume and Volker Hinz and many others.

As a freelancer, I have worked for the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the Music Hall in Hamburg (nowadays known as the Laeiszhalle), as a consultant for the Hamburg-Mannheimer-Foundation (ERGO) Jugend & Zukunft and the cultural centre Schloss Ritzebüttel in Cuxhaven etc..
